H.E. Selma Ashipala-Musavyi
High Commissioner

I welcome you to the official website of the High Commission (Embassy) of the Republic of Namibia to Ghana. This site is created with a view to provide easy access to a number of links that will provide information on most if not all of the issues covered by the High Commission (Embassy).

I am using Embassy in brackets due to the concurrent accreditation that the Mission enjoys with countries that are not members of the Commonwealth such as the Republics of Benin, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Togo. The Mission is also concurrently accredited to cover the Republics of Liberia and Sierra Leone.

The responsibilities of the High Commission are amongst others:

  • To represent the Government and people of the Republic of Namibia.
  • To maintain, promote and further strengthen the relations that exist between Namibia and the countries of accreditation, and
  • To defend and protect the interests of Namibia and that of its nationals in these countries, within the limits permitted by international and domestic laws.

In view of Namibia’s policy of economic diplomacy, the High Commission (Embassy) continues to market Namibia as the foremost destination for economic investment, tourism and an ideal venue for filming. Namibia is a member of numerous economic and political arrangements across the world and provides favourable market access through SACU, SADC and in due course through the African Union.

Namibia’s socio-economic policies provide an equally excellent basis and scope for investment, tourism, filming and training as well as bilateral engagement.

Please do not hesitate to call or visit the High Commission (Embassy) for more information. The staff and I will be pleased to attend to your enquiries.
